Service description

Chaparoam is an online platform on which adults aged 18 and over create profiles and message one another to find company for travel. Chaparoam does not arrange, sell or broker any service between members, does not organise travel, and is not a travel agency. Any arrangement between members is their own.

Terms of use

• Members must be 18 or over and use their own identity and photographs.
• Paid intimacy, solicitation, human trafficking and any content involving minors are forbidden and are reported to the authorities.
• Harassment, fraud, impersonation and requests for money transfers result in removal.
• We may suspend or delete any account that breaks these rules, without refund.

Payments, renewals and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars and include any applicable taxes shown at checkout. The twelve month membership renews automatically each year until cancelled; you can cancel any time from the billing page in your account. Six month and three month memberships and stamp packs are single payments and do not renew. Because access is granted immediately, purchases are non-refundable once messaging has been used, except where required by law. Contact billing@chaparoam.com with any issue.

Privacy

We store the account details, profile content and messages you provide in order to run the service. We do not sell personal data. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time by writing to hello@chaparoam.com.

Advertising privacy and Meta Pixel

On selected public pages, we use Meta Pixel to measure website visits and support Facebook and Instagram ad optimization. Meta Platforms receives the page address, browser and device information, IP address and advertising cookies. We do not send account email addresses, profile details, messages, private pages or registration events. Only public addresses with no parameters or a Tourist/Local category filter are eligible. Other parameters, fragments and potentially private referring addresses block reporting.

In regions requiring advertising consent, or when your region cannot be identified, tracking is blocked until you accept. Elsewhere it may operate without a banner, respecting saved refusals and browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals. No customer matching or server uploads are enabled.

Use Cookie settings to accept, reject or withdraw at any time, including from other open tabs. Your browser retains a random visitor reference, region, decision time, notice version and text, and the history of acceptance and withdrawal. Clearing browser storage removes that record. Withdrawal stops new tracking; it does not undo data already received by Meta. Read Meta’s privacy policy or contact hello@chaparoam.com.

Content disclosure

Profiles marked "Sample" in the member gallery are fictional examples created to show how the site works. Genuine members appear under New arrivals.
